School Board Contemplates adding Policy to Restrict Speech
The Platte Canyon School Board has been reviewing and replacing policy for months to achieve compliance with Colorado State statute and to update an outdated set of policies. The most recent policy to be added is policy BEDH-R, a rarely used policy and was copied/submitted directly from Gilpin County school district by Ms. Weinfeldt as a way to prevent the Board members from feeling insulted, berated, condescended or shamed by the public (see CORA requested emails here). Policy BEDH-R will likely be on the consent agenda for September 12, 2022.
