Platte Canyon School District has posted notice of appointment to the Board of Education. This appointment will replace Amy Carman. This is the email:

The Board of Education of Platte Canyon School District RE-1 is accepting applications from persons interested in serving on the Board of Education from the date of appointment on February 6, 2023 until the next regular biennial school election in November 2023. To be eligible for appointment, each candidate must meet all qualifications as listed in PCSD1 Policy BBBA including being a registered elector of the school district for at least twelve consecutive months prior to the date of appointment and must not have been convicted of a sexual offense against a child: C.R.S. 22-31-107(1), (5).

Any person who meets the qualifications and who desires to be considered for the appointment is invited to file a written notice of such intention with Ryan Johnson, Secretary to the Board of Education, by 12:00 pm on February 3, 2023 at 57393 US Hwy 285, Bailey CO 80421. The Board will interview prospective candidates on February 6, 2023 at a public meeting.
