Platte Canyon School District Approves Resolution to Declare Disc Golf Course Surplus Property

Here are the official "unofficial" minutes for February 13, 2023.

Read about the future plans for the district complex (including costs), results of the SEL (social emotional learning) survey (+70% of parents in the district DO NOT want to continue this programming), the math curriculum status is presented and evaluation and implementation of new curriculum is postponed (only 1 out of every 4 students in Platte Canyon are proficient in math).

Also presented is the reduction of contact hours with students by 123 hours over the district due to implementing a 4 day schedule, changes in the busing of students so that Pre-K through 12th grade will all ride on one route in the afternoons beginning FY24.

Motions passed by the board, the 4-day school calendar, the resolution to declare 599 Rosalie (disc golf course) as surplus property (this property will be marketed for sale in the near future), and the board approved the moving of the preschool program to the District Complex 57393 US Hwy 285 to be completed by January of 2024 of Summer of 2024.
